This post briefly highlights the process that I use in Linux to create music videos for upload to YouTube. The post assumes familiarity with installing Linux software packages in addition to experience of QTractor and Openshot Video Editor.
Install QTractor, a lightweight Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
Install Openshot (video editor), a multimedia tool equivalent to Windows Movie Maker.
Record music into QTractor. Export audio tracks as flac file.
Create new Openshot project and import flac file and add some photos.
Export Openshot project as web-youtube.
Upload resulting file mpeg file to YouTube.
